Zierikzee

Schouwen-Duiveland (population: 34,496) is an island and a municipality in the southwestern Netherlands, in the province of Zeeland. The municipality covers an area of 301.34 km² (of which 69.81 km² water).

The municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland comprises the following towns, villages and townships: Brijdorpe, Brouwershaven, Bruinisse, Burgh, Burghsluis, Dreischor, Elkerzee, Ellemeet, Haamstede, Kerkwerve, Looperskapelle, Moriaanshoofd, Nieuwerkerk, Nieuwerkerke, Noordgouwe, Noordwelle, Oosterland, Ouwerkerk, Renesse, Scharendijke, Schuddebeurs, Serooskerke, Sirjansland, Westenschouwen, Zierikzee, Zonnemaire (there is no village called Schouwen-Duiveland itself - the municipality takes it name from the island, which itself got is name when the former islands 'Schouwen' en 'Duiveland' got connected).

Renesse is a popular tourist resort with free bus services in the area (in summer only).

The Brouwersdam is a dam, part of the Delta Works, from Schouwen-Duiveland to Goedereede, the west part of the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in South Holland.
