Trollhättan is a Municipality in Västra Götaland County, in southwest Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 411.5 km². Of the total population of 52891, 26726 are male, and 26165 are female. The population density of the community is 129 inhabitants per km².
Trollhättan houses the main site for production of Saab automobiles. There is also production facilities for the film industry and movies which have been shot there include Fucking Åmål and Dancer in the dark.
