Tourism in Italy

Tourism > Tourism in Italy

Italy is one of the most visited tourist countries at all. There are famous places like Venice, Florence, Siena, Milan, Naples or Rome, each with a rich cultural heritage from the Roman Empire. Famous objects are the ruins of Pompei, the Capitole, vineyards in Tuscany, Sicily with Mt. Etna, the coastline of the Adriatic Sea or the Alps.

If you happen to tour Italy during the summer months please make sure you bring light airy clothing. For the temperature and humidity are known to climb high. Among the various places to tour Rome seems to be extremely popular. If you find yourself in Rome and in need of some "fun in the sun" activity hop on the train to Ostia. Ostia, located just outside of Rome is a carefree beach town where you will find most of the Roman city dwellers on the weekends. At night Favre beach is a hot hang out. People of all ages come out to dance, share a drink, and converse on the beach. During the daytime the shoreline consists of various different beaches for family fun to extreme sports. Beach clubs also exist for those wanting to rent a hut containing a room with a shower and space for changing and storage. For those wanting to relax in the sun Ostia is perfect.
