- Early psychedelia from The Who (A Quick One (Happy Jack)) and The Moody Blues (The Magnificient Moodies) is popular, along with bands that begin to merge these more progressive sounds with pop, like The Beatles (Revolver), Shadows of Knight (Gloria), The Troggs (Wild Thing), The Mamas & the Papas (If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears) and, most influentially, The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, including "Good Vibrations", one of the innovative songs of the era
