The Tourists

The Tourists were a British band, a predecessor of Eurythmics.

They formed in 1977 under the name "the Catch", the line-up including Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Peet Coombes, and Jim Toomey. After the Catch broke up, they were joined by Eddie Chin. The Tourists' first (minor) hit was "Blind Among the Flowers". They followed it up with two major hits: "So Good to be Back Home Again" and "I Only Want to be with You".

In 1980, the group split, but within a few months Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox came together again to form the Eurythmics.
