Superbad
Superbad, the 1997 creation of web designer Ben Benjamin, is an effort at using the tools and methods of design on the Internet to create something artistic, to which some term web art.
Superbad consists of a veritable maze of links between what appears to be subprojects, from the wacky, colorful, and some verging on the bizarre, with a link to a random page on arrival at the website for good measure. These "subprojects" often have lots of clickable elements that take the viewer to other pages in the subproject, or take the viewer outside the subproject, or just provide visual richness. Some of the pages contain narrative elements.
For example, the "follow" subproject (www.superbad.com/1/follow) has a grid of circles, to which arrows follow the mouse cursor. Each circle is a link to a different subproject within the site.
