Seborrhoeic dermatitis
Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a condition similar to eczema but with a different distribution on the body and affecting different age groups. It usually occurs on the face affecting the nose and extending onto the forehead, particulalrly the eyebrows. Like eczema, the skin is red, sore and flaky. It is thought to be caused by bacterial infection of the seborrhoeic glands and tetracycline antibitoics are of some use.
