Scottish Television has been the ITV franchise for central Scotland since 1957, based in Glasgow. It is now owned by the Scottish Media Group (SMG), which also owns Scotland's other ITV franchise, Grampian, based in Aberdeen. Scottish produces news and current affairs programmes for its region, as well as for the whole of Scotland.
