Republika Srpska
Republika Srpska (in English sometimes Republic of Srpska) is a semi-autonomous republic that forms Bosnia-Herzegovina, along with the Muslim-Croat Federation. The Republic was declared by the Serbs of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1992 following political and military conflict between Croats, Muslims, and Serbs in the region (see also History of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The Republic has its own government, capital, flag, coat of arms, anthem, president, parliament (SkupĀtina Republike Srpske), customs department, police force, postal system, army and even airline. For a while it even had its own currency (1992-94), the Republika Srpska dinar.
