Reach-around

In Baseball, a defensive play generally mastered by those with an uncanny ability to sniff out balls in play; best examples over the years are New York Yankees shortstops Bucky Dent and Derek Jeter, former Baltimore Orioles slugger Brady Anderson, and the relatively unheralded Detroit Tigers/Los Angeles Dodgers/San Diego Padres journyman Bill Bean.

The play can best be described by the player reaching for the ball, and then making a spectacular toss off to finish the play.
