Rawkus Records

Rawkus Records is an independent hip hop record label that has enjoyed considerable exposure.

Rawkus was established in 1996 by Brian Brater, Jarret Meyer and James Murdoch. In 1999 it entered into a distribution deal with Universal Music. In 2004 the deal with Universal lapsed. Rawkus is currently without distribution and scheduled to cease trading.
