Prison Fellowship

The Prison Fellowship was founded in 1976 in the United States by Charles W. Colson, chief counsel for Richard Nixon, following his release from prison for his part in the Watergate Scandal. It is now an international network of Christians who support prisoners, former prisoners and their families. The Prison Fellowship believes that the real solution to crime is not ultimately found in therapeutic interventions, or legislative reform, but through spiritual renewal.

A charitable work of Prison Fellowship is the "Angeltree" program, which gathers gifts from sponsoring churches to give at Christmas to children of prison inmantes.
