As of the census of 2000, there are 1,496 people, 349 households, and 314 families residing in the town. The population density is 451.3/km² (1,172.5/mi²). There are 367 housing units at an average density of 110.7/km² (287.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 29.55% White, 0.00% African American, 1.60% Native American, 16.71% Asian, 0.40% Pacific Islander, 48.66% from other races, and 3.07% from two or more races. 59.69% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
