Pokeballs
In the Pokémon games and television series, a Pokéball is a device used to capture new Pokémon and store them when they are not in use. It measures about 4 centimeters in diameter normally, and can shrink to about 1 centimeter to be carried on a belt. Even though some Pokémon can be many times a person's height, they still fit in a Pokéball.
There are many different varieties of Pokéballs, each with different effects.

The Master Ball is perhaps the games rarest Pokéball. In the original games, there was only one to be found. Since Pokémon Gold and Silver, there has been ways to get additional Master Balls, but you still only found one normally in the game. Master Balls are so rare, and so powerful, that they are normally used to capture the rarest of Pokémon, like Mewtwo or Lugia.
