North Hennepin Community College

North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) was established in 1966 and sits on an 84-acre campus consisting of nine brick buildings, a central courtyard, accessible parking lots, athletic fields, hiking trails, and a nature preserve area.

It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and offers coursework as well as pre-professional programs for transfer to baccalaureate programs. It also aims to prepare students for immediate entry into careers.

Each year, more than 8,000 students are enrolled in credit classes, and 11,000 are enrolled in continuing education classes and customized training.

Course offerings occur at various times of the year:

  • Credit courses - Fall, Spring, and Summer
  • Short-term, non-credit classes - continuously throughout the year

The following classes are offered weekdays, weeknights, and weekends at the Brooklyn Park Campus, the Wright County Center in Buffalo, and other off-campus locations:

  • Online classes
  • Traditional classes
  • Web-enhanced classes

NHCC is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The following communities are located in the area:
