Moray Firth

The Moray Firth is an area of the North Sea, north and east of Inverness. Despite its name, it is not so much a firth as a very large bay streching from Duncansby Head in the north, to Fraserburgh in the east.

The Moray Firth is one of the most important places on the UK coast for observing dolphins and whales. The most common species are the Bottlenose Dolphin and the Harbour Porpoise.
