Leicester City F.C.

Leicester City F.C., the "Foxes", are an English football team. They are currently in the Premiership and play at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester. Their manager is Micky Adams.

They were founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse and joined the Football Association in 1890, and were promoted to Division 1 for the first time in 1908. They were renamed as Leicester City in 1919. Throughout the twentieth century, the club bounced between the top two divisions, never achieving great success. They reached the FA Cup final on four occasions, but never won, their greatest achievement being the three League Cup victories in 1964, 1997 and 2000.

City have produced a number of internationally famous players, including England goalkeepers Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton, Gary Lineker, and the current England international Emile Heskey.

The team moved to their current stadium in 2002 from their longtime home at Filbert Street, but due to the cost of the stadium and the collapse of the ITV Digital deal, had to go into administration.
