Jean Lesage

Jean Lesage (1912-1980) was a Canadian lawyer and politician, premier of Quebec 1960-1966.

A Liberal MP (1945-1957) and federal cabinet minister (1953-1957), he left federal politics after the fall of the St. Laurent government and became leader of the Quebec provincial Liberals in 1958, a position he held until 1970. As premier, he led the Quebec government through the Quiet Revolution.
