Jared Sandberg
Jared Lawrence Sandberg, American baseball player, was born March 2, 1978 in Olympia, Washington. The nephew of former Chicago Cubs great Ryne Sandberg, Jared Sandberg is a third baseman for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
In 2002, the younger Sandberg showed potential to hit for power, hitting 18 home runs in 102 games with the Devil Rays. However, his difficulties hitting for average have so far prevented him from spending a full season in the major leagues.
