Incredimail
Incredimail is an email client which focuses primarily on multimedia email. This is demonstrated both in the email it produces and in the graphical user interface of the program itself. While somewhat light on highly technical features like spam filtering, Incredimail is head and shoulders above the competition in producing multimedia emails quickly from prefabricated templates. You can easily attach sounds (including your own voice), graphics (including your own signature), animations, music, HTML markup and soforth in your email.
You do not need an Incredimail client to receive mail produced with Incredimail, but it doesn't hurt. On the receiving end of an Incredimail message, you do have higher bandwidth usage, and place demands on the HTML rendering capabilities of the email client. The functionality of this mail client is probably most similar to programs for designing personalized greeting cards. They provide lots of clip art, including new clip art from their web site on a regular basis. They prepackage lots of sounds and animations as well. It is also capable of sending plain vanilla business emails, but that's not really the point.
If you hate Microsoft Office's paperclip assistant, then Incredimail probably isn't for you. All of the dancing baloney is a bit much for a lot of people who don't need email to be quite this fun.
If, on the other hand, you like scrapbooking, and are primarily sending email to patient friends and family, and have a collection of over 1,000 glass figurines, then this might be just what the E-Doctor ordered.
One would do well to keep in mind that email is for recipients as well as senders: not all recipients are overjoyed to recieve bloated media presentations, preferring their email to be small, concise, and quickly downloaded.
