Imprimis Technology
Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) is a major manufacturer of Winchester technology hard drives, founded in 1979. Their hard-drives are used in Microsoft X-Box.
Seagate re-entered the public market in December 2002 on the New York Stock Exchange as STX.
In 1989, Seagate acquired Imprimis Technology. It took over Conner Peripherals in February 1996, creating the world's largest independent storage device manufacturer.
Seagate Research was established in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in August 1998.
