Gräfenberg spot

The Gräfenberg spot or G-spot, named after Ernst Gräfenberg, is a small area in the vagina near the pubic bone and the urethral sponge in women. The G-spot is, or is near to, the site of Skene's glands.

Stimulation of the G-spot is said to promote a more vigorous and satisfying orgasm (climax), and is possibly the cause of female ejaculation; however, it may be that not every women has such a spot. See Skene's glands for more information.

The term "G-spot" is also used by analogy as a slang term for the prostate gland in men as a target for anal stimulation.

For the recipe of an alcoholic beverage with this name, see G-Spot.
