Gavin Hewitt

Gavin Hewitt is a journalist for the BBC. Having started his career in Canada, Hewitt began working for the BBC in 1984 on Panorama, a television documentary series. In 2000 he began work as a special correspondent for BBC News.

In 2003 he was one of three reporters to use David Kelly as a source for the BBC story that the British Government had unwittingly "sexed-up" a dossier describing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. He later gave evidence on the affair to the Hutton Inquiry.
