Game Freak
Game Freak is the Japanese Video game developer of the Mother (Earthbound) and Pokemon series of RPGs.
The company was founded in 1989 by Satoshi Tajiri. In honor of the founder, the lead character in the Pokemon cartoon was named Satoshi (in Japan).
Both of their uber-popular RPGs were published by Nintendo, in both Japan and North America. Their RPG Mother was released in North America as Earthbound for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Their other uber-popular RPG is known as Pocket Monsters in Japan and as Pokemon in North America.
They have developed many games for many systems, including the Sega Genesis.
