GGT

GGT (gamma glutamyl transpeptidase) is a liver enzyme. It's level in the blood may be tested for, as an elevated level may indicate an abnormality in the liver, though this can be caused by a number of conditions.

GGT

My blood test shows a marked increase from 94 to 201 IU/L in GGT. I have been taking Milk thistle for 5 months since the last test. I believe it contributed to a drop in my Lipid profile but the GGT is my worry. Besides I have also tried Omega 3 and Lecithin as suppliments. I am also taking glucosamine for my joints (18 months). Is this the cause of increase in GGT?
