East Lothian or Haddingtonshire is one of 32 unitary council regions in Scotland. It borders onto City of Edinburgh, Scottish Borders and Midlothian. Its administrative capital is Haddington, and its large town is Musselburgh.
The area was a historic county also, and bordered Midlothian to the west, and Berwickshire to the south.
