David Brooks (journalist)

David Brooks (born 1961) is a columnist for the New York Times who has become one of the prominent voices of conservative politics in the U.S.

He is a former reporter for the Wall Street Journal and has been a senior editor at The Weekly Standard, a contributing editor at Newsweek and Atlantic Monthly and a commentator on NPR and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.

He has written a book of cultural commentary titled Bobos in Paradise. The word "bobo", Brooks' most famous coinage, stands for "bourgeois bohemian". This is Brooks' term for mainstream yuppie-like pseudo-radicals, who are not anti-money or anti-wealth but have highly tolerant views of others and buy lots of expensive and exotic items.

David W. Brooks is a reporter and science columnist for the Nashua Telegraph in New Hampshire. He is also a Wikipedian ().
