Dark Horse Comics

Dark Horse Comics is an American comic book publisher, one of the largest "independent" publishers behind dominant publishers Marvel Comics and DC Comics. It was founded in 1986 by Mike Richardson. Its logo is a chess piece shaped like a horse's head.

Dark Horse comics include titles based on the licensed properties Alien, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Predator, Star Wars, and The Terminator, as well as original series such as Barb Wire, Concrete, Hellboy, The Mask, and Usagi Yojimbo.

They also distribute translations of various Japanese comic books, including Ghost in the Shell, Oh My Goddess!, Bubblegum Crisis, Astro Boy, and Digimon.
