Blackburn with Darwen is a small administrative county of England, which seceeded from Lancashire. It consists of Blackburn, the small town of Darwen to the south of it, and surrounding countryside.
It was created in by the Lancashire (Boroughs of Blackburn and Blackpool) (Structural Change) Order 1996, as the county of Blackburn.
The county borders Greater Manchester, and Lancashire.
