Binghamton University
Binghamton University, also known as "State University of New York at Binghamton," is one of the largest universities in the State University of New York system. Binghamton University offers a wide variety of programs to its 10000 undergraduate students and 2600 graduate students. Binghamton University is often considered the top school in New York State's public university system.
Harpur College, founded in 1946 as a branch of Syracuse University in Endicott, New York, was later moved to the current Binghamton University location in Vestal, New York. As other schools were added to the university, Harpur remained the liberal arts college of Binghamton University.
