There seems to be some confusion here because there are three novels named BELINDA. One is by Maria Edgeworth and was published in 1802. Another is by Rhoda Broughton and was published in 1883. And another is by Anne Rice, under a pseudonym, and was published in 1989. To the best of my knowledge, the only one to contain any references to BDSM or S & M is the one by Anne Rice. I am currently reading the one by Maria Edgeworth and was hoping to find some additional information. This doesn't appear to be a good place to look.
