BAe-146

The British Aerospace BAe 146 was a STOL capable regional jetliner manufactured by BAE Systems from 1983 to 1993. The quietest jet airplane in commercial service, 221 were built in three different lengths; BAe 146-100, -200, & -300. It was also available as a pure freighter (Quiet Trader), a Quick Change version and a VIP transport aircraft called the Statesman.

The BAe 146 is operated by such airlines as Aer Lingus, Swissair, Lufthansa, US Airways, Qantas, British Airways and others. It was succeeded by the Avro RJ Series.
