Automotive software is embedded software that helps automobiles.
Automobiles are some of the most software intensive devices in existance.
Engine controllers, which control fuel injection systems, depending
on load, temperature, and so on, to improve efficiency and minimize
pollution.
Brake controllers, which prevent brakes from locking, by pumping
when the tires lose traction.
Environmental controllers, which adjust seat position, ventilation,
raise and lower windows, communicate with satellites in emergencies,
radios, etc.
