Anne Hutchinson

Anne Hutchinson (July 20, 1595 - 1643) was a woman who organized a church discussion group. She preached that if a person's soul truly is predestined, they have no need to restrict their earthly behavior. She was banished and went to Rhode Island.

The Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx, New York is named after Anne Hutchinson.
