Alrek Studenthjem
Alrek Studenthjem (english: Alrek student home) is a block house owned by Studentsamskipnaden i Bergen (SiB) (english: Student organization in Bergen) where they rent out supposedly cheap student co-housing apartments to students who are member of the organization. All students at the University of Bergen and a lot of other colleges are members of SiB.
The student home consist of about 150 (comment: verify this number) small apartments, most of them consist of a single room of 12 m2 with access to a kitchen and a bathroom which 6-7 people share.
The student home is also known for the club down in the basement, Club Alrek.
