Alfred V. Aho
Dr. Alfred V. Aho is a computer scientist who works for Bell Labs and now teaches at Columbia University. He is most famous for his creation of the AWK programming language with Brian Kernighan and Peter Weinberger (the 'A' stands for "Aho"), and his co-authorship of (the "Dragon book") with Ravi Sethi and Jeffrey Ullman. Dr. Aho has received many prestigious awards, and has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from the University of Waterloo and the University of Helsinki in Finland.
