I have some concerns about starting school at the end of August. As a teacher, new to this state, I have made some observations I would like to share with you. If you start school too late, you will either end in the middle of June or cut the student breaks. Many of my students have relatives in other countries and like to Christmas with their families. This schedule allows for these visitations and does not require a student to miss 2 weeks of school. It also allows the first semester to end before the holidays. Last year with all
