I recently purchased a book called ' Human Nature in the Bible' by William Lyon Phelps and published by Charles Scribner's Sons in New York-London 1922. Is this a rare book and what information can anyone provide for me with regards to it. Thank you

We found two sources of old book prices thanks to Kim and the Pasadena Library. They can be purchased from Amazon.
1) American Book Prices Current 2003: The Auction Season September 2002-August 2003 (American Book Prices Current, 109)
2) Bookman's Price Index.
These books are very expensive. You may want to make a trip to the local library to look through a copy.

William Lyon Phelps authored his AUTOBIOGRAPHY WITH LETTERS published by Oxford University Press, New York, 1939 It was 938 pages. My copy is signed by Phelps and inscribed to Dr. Bernard Lederman, whose bookplate with the Hippocratic Oath is on the front pastedown. Apparently there are not a lot of copies in circulation.

William Lyon Phelps was some relation to my great grandmother Sara Ann Lyon Andrews of Bristol, New York. She married Elkanah Andrews and they had children
Royal Andrews, Mary Andrews, Minnie Andrews, and Mable Andrews. Sara Lyon Andrews was born in 1836 and died en 1931.
I don't know much more about her except that I went into the D.A.R. through William Lyon Phelps geneology.
